you can help

AARP would like to share information about this international volunteer opportunity.     Do you ever find your mind wandering, wondering what it might be like to combine your fascination with exploring far off places with a strong desire to give back by putting your experience and skills to work as a volunteer with children?

Global Dental Relief has a volunteer program that may be of interest and provides global volunteer involvement and travel for both dental and non-dental professionals in India, Nepal, Guatemala, Vietnam, Kenya and Cambodia.

GDR volunteers who donate their time during intensive five-six day dental clinics provide treatment, preventive care and oral health education to school age children. Clinics generally include up to five dentists, several hygienists and five to ten non-medical volunteers. Each clinic treats upwards of 500 patients. Volunteers are all ages and come from all over the U.S. as well as Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
