Ready to put your organizing skills to work? AARP Arkansas is looking for a Family Caregiving Lead Volunteer. The Lead's responsibility is to manage a team of volunteers and help them achieve their goals for community presentations and appearances. The Volunteer Lead should be organized, self-directed, encouraging and interested in working with AARP staff and volunteers.

One of the important community presentations that caregiving volunteers conduct is the Prepare to Care Workshop. These free workshops provide information and resources to help caregivers better care for themselves and their loved ones. Participants learn five steps every caregiver should take: How to Start the Conversation; Forming a Team; Making a Family Plan, Finding Support; and the Importance of Caring for Yourself.

Training will be provided. If you are interested in making a difference in this special way, please contact Lou Tobian at ltobian@aarp.org or 501-217-1638.
