AARP Colorado and Colorado Public Television are hosting the Denver City Council Debates 2015, a series that will begin April 10 and run every Friday through April 24 on CPT-12 beginning at 7 p.m.

Colorado Public Television and AARP will feature the debates in the six open Denver City Council districts, and candidates will be asked what they would do to make Denver a more livable city for residents of all ages. Transportation and housing affordability will be key topics. Other topics will focus on the provision of services, public safety, and consumer issues that affect seniors and other city residents.

The election is May 5. Mail-in ballots go out beginning April 13.

The debates will offer a unique opportunity to the Denver electorate, and viewers of Colorado Public Television to hear the candidates’ views. Please tune in to Colorado Public Television, Fridays at 7:00 and 7:30 to catch these important debates.
