AARP DC On Board to Pack One Million Meals for 9/11 Observance

Full food packing experience #2

It was a beautiful day to give back to the Washington, DC region as AARP DC volunteers help to pack one million meals to feed the most vulnerable. Older people, veterans and first responders go hungry everyday and AARP Foundation's "A Celebration of Service" focused on those who are in need the most on the day of service and observance.

AARP DC joined with AARP Maryland and AARP Virginia to share information on resources and volunteer opportunities in the area as food packing volunteers showed an interest in doing more volunteer work with AARP. Here's a video to show what AARP accomplished on the #911day observance.

It was a gorgeous day for service. If you are interested in volunteering with AARP DC, contact Jocelyn Daughtry: jdaughtry@aarp.org
