AARP & Elected Officials Meet For Legislative Breakfast

On Monday, November 13, AARP Illinois is hosting a legislative breakfast where state and local elected officials will meet with local residents and discuss issues that matter to residents ages 50 and older, and their loved ones, including state revenue, financial security, affordable utilities, and support to family caregivers.

WHY:

The intent of this event is to bring local issues to the forefront and how Lockport Township is leading the way and is a best practice for livable communities. AARP has endorsed the network of age friendly communities. It will be something we share at this event and perhaps this network might be something to consider for Lockport Township in the future.
