A 100th Birthday Tribute to Billie Holiday is coming to the Capitol Center for the Arts and AARP members and a guest receive a $5 discount on tickets. The performance starts at 7:30 pm on Friday, May 15 at 44 South Main Street in Concord.
International touring and recording artist Clairdee will be joining forces with the Capital Jazz Orchestra for this very special 100th birthday tribute to the great “Lady Day.” The San Francisco-based singer will be performing such Billie classics as Travelin’ Light, Any Old Time, and God Bless the Child. You’ll also hear many other selections featuring both the big band and the more intimate CJO combo.
