AARP, New Sponsor of Spurs' "Baseline Bums"

One winner and guest to be selected for each home game between Nov. 17 and Dec. 31

We're excited today to announce that we're collaborating with the San Antonio Spurs to give away two “Baseline Bums” tickets to each of 11 Spurs home games taking place between Nov. 17 and Dec. 31.

AARP will choose a winner from entries at random three days prior to the selected games. The winner can bring a guest along to the game to sit in the Baseline Bums designated section of the arena. Register for a chance to win tickets.

"AARP is thrilled to sponsor the Baseline Bums,” says Lisa Rodriguez, who leads AARP's outreach work in the San Antonio area. “The Baseline Bums provide so much spirit and cheer not only at Spurs games but also in our local community through service and volunteerism. It's hard not to be enthused or to crack a smile when you're in their company."

The games include every Spurs home game starting with the Monday, Nov. 17, visit by the Philadelphia 76ers and ending with the Wednesday, Dec. 31, visit by the New Orleans Pelicans – a total of 11 games.

"We're all about the Spurs, the community and, more importantly, helping to make a difference in the community,” says Bonnie Keammerer, Baseline Bums President. “We just love the fit with AARP."

As part of the new collaboration between both organizations, AARP members and their guests will also be able to purchase discounted tickets for either $18 per ticket or $25 per ticket for selected home games at the AT&T Center. The next three are:

  • Spurs vs. Utah Jazz – Sunday, Jan. 6, 6 p.m.
  • Spurs vs. Milwaukee Bucks – Sunday, Jan. 25, 6 p.m.
  • Spurs vs. Orlando Magic – Wednesday, Feb. 4, 7:30 p.m.

Fans can purchase tickets by visiting www.spurs.com/aarp and entering the special offer code Spurs when prompted.

AARP will have a table on the concourse at each of these games. Fans can stop by to learn more about what AARP is doing in San Antonio and how they can get involved.
