The Wilmington (DE) Alumnae Chapter of Deltas Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. proudly announces its fourth annual health and wellness summit, “Empowering Our Sisters: Our Journey to Wellness.” It will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the John Ammon Medical Education Center located at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. We are honored to continue our partnerships with Delta Outreach and Education Center, Inc., Christiana Care Health System and AARP Delaware.
This free summit will focus on health and wellness – body, mind and spirit. There will be an emphasis on prevention, chronic disease management, mental and emotional wellness, and healthy living and lifestyle changes. The target audience is women of all ages and girls age 11-17. Free continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Workshops will be primarily facilitated by women healthcare professionals and knowledge experts. Additionally, there will be healthy living and community resource exhibitors. The culminating session will be the signature physicians and health survivors fashion show.
