AARP Sponsors Grand Opening of Food Bank Branch

AARP is a sponsor of the Grand Opening of the Food Bank of Delaware’s new facility to serve Kent and Sussex Counties.

About five percent of older Delawareans are at risk for going hungry. Each day, people age 50+ make a decision between paying utility bills, buying medications, and buying food.

That’s why AARP in Delaware supports the Food Bank of Delaware’s efforts to alleviate and eliminate hunger in the First State. On Friday, September 20, the Food Bank will host a grand opening of their Milford facility and AARP is a sponsor.

Join AARP and the Food Bank for this special ribbon cutting and celebration. Tours will be given and lunch will be prepared by the Food Bank’s culinary students. You can even learn how to volunteer to help provide meals and assistance to Delawareans who don’t have enough to eat.
