AARP Virginia seeks nominees for the 2017 Andrus Award for Community Service
Winner to receive $500 for nonprofit of their choice

Know an extraordinary volunteer age 50 or older? Show your appreciation by nominating her or him for the 2017 AARP Virginia Andrus Award for Community Service, named for AARP's founder, Ethel Percy Andrus.

AARP’s most prestigious volunteer award recognizes individuals who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills in ways that significantly enrich the lives of others. Only one Virginia individual or couple is selected each year. The nomination deadline for Virginia is July 1, 2017.

This year, AARP Virginia is offering a $500 donation to an eligible nonprofit of the winner's choosing. This is a fantastic way to recognize outstanding volunteer service and to give back to the community.

Online nomination forms are available on the web HERE or you may call AARP Virginia at 866-542-8164 to request a paper nomination form be mailed to you. You may also print your own nomination kit to be completed and mailed to the AARP Virginia state office by July 1, 2017. For more information about the Andrus Award, click here.
