AARP Illinois beckons members throughout the state to discover the fun side of AARP.

The AARP state office has become increasingly active in local communities by sponsoring social events, educational opportunities and discount admission to attractions that appeal to members and their families. AARP staff and volunteers are passionate about helping members live their best lives.

“If you don’t think food drives, fishing days, movie nights, Facebook contests, computer classes, museum discounts and fun when you think AARP Illinois—think again,” said Heather Heppner, AARP spokeswoman.

Members also are invited to volunteer. To learn about the many ways AARP volunteers help improve the quality of life for people age 50-plus, email aarpil@aarp.org, call 866-448-3613 toll-free, or visit facebook.com/aarpillinois and twitter.com/aarpillinois.
