Ask Candidates for Plans on Social Security

take-a-stand.png

With election season well under way, AARP volunteers are asking presidential and congressional candidates campaigning in Minnesota to explain their plans to keep Social Security strong for current and future generations.

Projections show Social Security will be able to pay full benefits until 2034 but, unless Congress acts, only about 75 percent after that.

“It is critical for voters to know where candidates stand on this issue, so they can make informed decisions on Nov. 8,” said Seth Boffeli, a spokesman for AARP Minnesota.
