As they age, most people want to remain living in their homes for as long as they can. But will their homes safely age along with them?
The AARP HomeFit Workshop, part of AARP Livable Communities programming, teaches people how to make modifications to their homes, thereby allowing them to safely “age in place.” Changes range from simple, no cost solutions to larger, more expensive retrofits.
Join AARP Massachusetts at the Plymouth Public Library on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to noon., for a free HomeFit workshop.
Attendees will learn about home modifications to help them and their loved ones age in place and remain comfortable, independent, and injury-free. Discussion will focus on numerous no- and low-cost options that can help people stay in their homes long term, whether home is a house or an apartment.
All attendees will receive a copy of the AARP HomeFit Guide.
The event is free, but space is limited and online registration is required.
