This fall AARP is hosting a series of CAREversations—free events that mix fun with purpose. Each event encourages caregivers to share tips, build a support network and learn about local resources.

The 90-minute sessions include table conversations, as well as opportunities to mix and mingle. AARP provides complimentary food and beverages.

CAREversations are scheduled in Glendale, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Tempe, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. AARP developed the program using its Prepare to Care planning guide.

There are more than 804,000 family caregivers in Arizona, and their unpaid services help aging loved ones continue to live at home rather than move into institutional care.

To register for a CAREversation, call (866) 740-6947 or go to aarp.org/az. To download a caregiver planning guide, go to aarp.org/preparetocare.
