Become a Back to School Celebration Volunteer

 Summer means another opportunity to help get Rhode Island school children of to a great start of the school year. The annual Back to School Celebration -- now in its 15th year -- provides new backpacks filled with school supplies and nutritional information to some 15,000 students. The effort not only encourages learning, but helps families that struggle with back-to-school purchases.

Volunteers are needed for packing the backpacks on August 3 (tentative date) and distribution on August 17. To volunteer, email   Deborah Miller or give her a call at 401-248-2671. Watch the "high speed" packing day video.
