Big Things are Happening in Cincinnati - Be a Part of It!

We have big plans in Cincinnati next year, and you can be part of the fun! In 2014, AARP members throughout the Cincinnati area will be invited to participate in a variety of events, including educational, volunteer and local event discounts for educational and cultural offerings.

AARP volunteers will be essential to achieving success and making a difference in the lives of their fellow Cincinnatians. There are a number of volunteer opportunities in 2014 that may be just what you are looking for. Are you interested in learning more?

You're invited to attend a volunteer information session on January 30 at 6 p.m. at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton - Blue Ash to learn how you can use your talents, time and skills to make a difference. Current AARP volunteers and staff will share details on each of the volunteer roles and answer your questions.

During each session, we’ll talk over light refreshments about the volunteer roles available such as:

  • Working side-by-side with a staff member to plan and organize fun and educational activities for AARP members including a Reds or Bengals game
  • Delivering presentations to inform others about topics that are important and relevant to them and their families such as fraud and identity theft
  • Staffing tables or exhibit booths with AARP on an “as needed” basis at festivals, fairs and other community events
  • Visiting your legislators and members of congress about issues important to AARP and our members

Volunteers with AARP receive orientation, training, reimbursement for approved expenses, support from staff and other volunteers—and the chance to learn, teach and have fun!

Register online today and learn more about how you can contribute to making 2014 an exciting year in Cincinnati! Or you can register for either session by calling 1-877-926-8300 toll-free.
