Health & Wellbeing | Maine Maine Residents Saved Almost $30 Million on Prescription Drugs in 2013 Under the Affordable Care Act The numbers are in, and they are impressive – 14,189 Maine residents on Medicare saved $29,844,809 on their prescription drugs in 2013, thanks to the closing of the “donut hole” for prescriptions under the Affordable Care Act.  The average discount per beneficiary was $863.
