Money & Work Massachusetts seniors age 60+ and people receiving disability benefits may be eligible for help from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). SNAP benefits are provided by the federal government and administered in Massachusetts by the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA). Massachusetts SNAP recipients include families with children, those age 60+, and people who are disabled. People who receive SNAP benefits may also qualify for additional benefits though the SNAP Medical Expenses Deduction.
