All are invited to attend one of three upcoming FREE shredding events, brought to you by AARP Massachusetts!

According to the AARP Fraud Watch Network, shredding remains one of the best ways to safely dispose of no-longer-needed confidential documents — which is a powerful deterrent against ID (identity) theft. The shredding events will take place in Revere on Friday, June 23, 2017; Charlestown on Tuesday, June 27, 2017; and Haverhill on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Complete details are below.

NOTE: For all three events, all shredding is done onsite by New England Security Shredders. Please limit your shredding to 3 boxes. This event is free of charge and open to the public. Please consider bringing non-perishable food items for donation to a local food pantry.

The AARP Fraud Watch Network launched in 2013 as a free resource for people of all ages. The website provides information about fraud and scams, prevention tips from experts, an interactive scam-tracking map, fun educational quizzes, and video presentations featuring Fraud Watch Network Ambassador Frank Abagnale. Users may sign up for “Watchdog Alert” emails that deliver breaking scam information, or call a free helpline at 877-908-3360 to speak with volunteers trained in fraud counseling.
