Do you want to help make a difference in other’s lives, both in your own community and beyond? Become an AARP volunteer and help bring the power of AARP to Poughkeepsie! You’ll help us grow the reach of our message and mission, which is to improve the quality of life for people 50 years of age and older, and their families. With your assistance, we can build a local team of AARP volunteers, who will help at discounted events, community service gatherings and at local and state advocacy functions.

AARP has three upcoming events in the Poughkeepsie area. Head over to learn more about AARP, how you can become an AARP volunteer, reconnect with us, or just to stop by and say “Hi!” – and help improve the lives of your friends, neighbors and community members.

Center of the Capital Region – Thursday, August 24th, 2:00pm-3:30pm, 265 River Street in Troy

Boardman Road Branch Library – Tuesday, August 29th, 2:00pm-3:30pm, 141 Boardman Road in Poughkeepsie
