If you’re like most women, you’re a master planner. You plan your career, your wedding, your children’s education and social activities, your family vacations and holidays. Orchestrating so many life events for others can leave you with little time for yourself. However, planning for your own tomorrow is vitally important. If you don’t plan for yourself, someone else will plan for you.
AARP’s Decide.Create.Share.℠ free event is a fun, interactive program designed to help women in their 40s, 50s and 60s take charge of their futures.
The free session encompasses three primary steps:
Decide where you see yourself in the future
Create a plan that includes your home, health, finances and wishes
Share your decisions with others so they know your preferences
“The program provides a framework for women to think about their futures,” said AARP New Hampshire Associate State Director for Outreach Sarah Kelsea. “It brings women together in small gatherings and prompts them to talk about their own situations. They’ll also create a plan outlining how to reduce health care risks, how to pay for possible long-term care needs, how to make sure their homes will meet their needs as they age, and how to ensure their health care wishes are shared with family members.”
Take steps today to ensure your wishes are met in the future!
