Do you have questions about the challenges of long term care planning?  Are you interested in learning more about the legal questions about end of life planning, or learning how you can help keep healthy to ensure a better future?

Decide. Create. Share.℠ is an AARP initiative dedicated to increasing awareness about the depth and breadth of long-term care and the benefits of planning. It encompasses three primary steps:

• DECIDE where you see yourself in the future.

• CREATE a comprehensive plan that includes your home, health, finances and wishes.

• SHARE your decisions with others so they know your preferences. You may also want to share this planning process with friends and family, so they, too, can plan their futures.

The initiative’s resources engage women and men as leaders within their families, informal networks, and communities to learn about long-term care, actively plan for a secure future and share what they learn with others. These programs are educational and are completely non-commercial.

For the Charlotte Mecklenburg library branches, AARP will be offering two distinct Decide Create Share sessions focusing on healthy living and the legal considerations of long term care planning, such as living wills, advanced care directives, etc.
