Heating tips from DTE: Last winter’s colder weather resulted in the average customer using 20.5% more natural gas than during the warmer winter of 2012-13.
As you prepare for this winter, keep in mind there are two variables that contribute to your bill: the amount of natural gas you use to heat your home and extreme weather conditions, which impact your energy use.
