Free Shredding Event in La Crosse April 28

For shredfest blog

Did you know that every two seconds, someone’s identity is stolen? Luckily there are steps you can take to protect yourself from potential fraud.

If you live in the greater La Crosse area, we have a great opportunity for you to get rid of any of your old, sensitive documents.

The AARP Fraud Watch Network and Coulee Bank are teaming up to offer a free shredding event on Friday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Coulee Bank, 1516 Losey Blvd. S, La Crosse. We’re calling it “Operation: Stop Scams.”

There will be an onsite shredding truck available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until the truck fills up). Simply drive up to the truck and we will help you unload and get your papers into the shredder. Show us your AARP membership card and we’ll give you a free goodie bag as well.

Shredding services are free of charge and open to the public, but we do ask that you limit your materials to three bags/boxes per vehicle.  The event will be held rain or shine. Please no early birds. If you have any questions, please call 1-866-448-3611.
