AARP Nevada is offering free workshops to explain how the Affordable Care Act affects people who have Medicare or buy their own health insurance, as well as those who are uninsured.

In cooperation with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, the sessions
will be held at libraries in Mesquite, Laughlin and the Las Vegas valley. Presenters will explain
new benefits and help connect people to the health insurance marketplace at NevadaHealthLink .com.

About 1 in 5 Nevadans lacks coverage, accounting for one of the nation’s highest uninsured rates.

For workshop dates, times and locations through December, go to aarp.org/nv. More sessions are planned for 2014, before the March 31 open enrollment deadline. To learn more about the health care law, visit HealthLawAnswers.org.
