Do you have questions about how the new health care law applies to you and your loved ones? We’re here to help!

AARP Nebraska is presenting a series of informational workshops on the health care law for individuals and families at Lincoln Public Library locations. The events are free and open to the public; no RSVP is needed.

At the sessions, AARP representatives will review the options open to you under the Affordable Care Act. We’ll share information on the types of health care plans that will be available, where to sign up and how to find help. (These are information sessions only, not discussions on the merits of the law).

The health care law will provide access to people who have a pre-existing condition, create new marketplaces that will allow insurers to offer more affordable coverage and provide tax credits to lower the cost of coverage. Open enrollment in health plans will start Oct. 1 and run through March 31, 2014.
