Would you like to help hungry seniors get the nutritious food they need to stay healthy?

In Arkansas the need is particularly urgent. The Natural State has the highest percentage of older adults at risk of hunger of any state in the nation. AARP Arkansas is seeking volunteers to help increase awareness of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Cooking Matters in the Store and other nutrition assistance efforts.

As a volunteer, you will actively combat hunger among older Arkansans by providing accurate information about nutrition assistance and connecting eligible people to resources available in their communities. It’s all part of a partnership between AARP Foundation (AARP’s affiliated charity) and AARP state offices nationwide to combat hunger and poverty.
