AARP members who enjoy horse racing can present their membership cards for free admission to Les Bois Park in Boise on June 7, 14 and 21.

AARP Idaho invites racing fans to stop by its booth to meet staff and volunteers and to learn what AARP is doing in the community. People can pick up materials on how to avoid scams and prevent identity theft, and the first 100 AARP members to stop by will be eligible for a $2 hot dog voucher.

Les Bois Park also offers “Handicapping 101,” a free class for AARP members, on June 14 from 4 to 5 p.m. The class covers how to read a horse-racing form and interpret the statistics to differentiate front-runners from long shots.
