Caregiver Connection Coming This Month

HOME CARE SPOT

As part of a continuing effort to inform Hoosiers about a state law that improves communication between hospitals and family caregivers, AARP Indiana is offering free wallet-sized cards about the CARE Act, explaining caregivers’ rights when a patient comes home from a hospital stay.

In addition, AARP Indiana is hosting Caregiver Connection events in Indianapolis, June 14, and Fort Wayne, June 23. Presenters include an elder-law attorney and experts on local resources. There also will be time for caregivers to meet and mingle and share their personal stories.

The events are free, but registration is required. To register, go to aarp.cvent.com/INcaregivingIndy (Indianapolis) or aarp.cvent.com/IncaregivingFtWayne (Fort Wayne).

To get a wallet card, go to action.aarp.org/INCAREcard.
