Are you at a point in your career where you’re asking, “What’s next”?  Many times experienced workers can face unique challenges finding the best fit when seeking a job. The Senior Services Coalition of Greater Williamsburg invites local job seekers to explore the vast employment opportunities on June 26 at the 5 th Annual Senior Service Coalition Employment Expo.

“AARP Virginia is proud to be a sponsor for this Hampton area job fair geared for people 45 and older,” said James L. Brooks, AARP Virginia associate state director. “If you or someone you know is a looking for a job, don’t miss this valuable opportunity to meet regional employers and find job openings.”

The public is invited to attend this FREE event from Noon-3 p.m., Thursday, June 26 at the Historic Triangle Community Services Center, 312 Waller Mill Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. This is an opportunity to network and build relationships with local employers.

The Senior Service Coalition works with local employers to ease the job seeking process for an older workforce. In past years, the event attracted a broad range of employers such as: Riverside Health Systems, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, College of William and Mary, Great Wolf Lodge, Eastern State Hospital, James City County and many more.

As an added bonus for employers interested in learning more about the benefits of hiring older workers, this year’s event will include a luncheon and a presentation by  Brooks, who will present “Workers over 50 – What They Can Do for You?” from 11 a.m.-Noon.

This event is FREE for job-seekers.  Employers interested in participating in this event should complete and return a registration form with the $50 registration fee made out to SSC/PAA.  Registration forms can be found at www.SeniorServicesCoalition.com.  Completed registration form and fee should be mailed by June 19 to: SSC-Employment Event; 3901 Treyburn Drive, Ste 100; Williamsburg, VA 23185.
