Join AARP Nevada on June 16 for a Summit on Latinos and Social Security

Social Security needs to be updated for the 21st century so we can keep the promise for future generations. If our nation’s leaders don’t act, future retirees could lose up to $10,000 a year.

One in three Nevada seniors rely on Social Security for nearly ALL of their family income, and the program keeps more than 40 percent of retirees out of poverty. And while Social Security is a critical part of financial security for most Nevadans, it’s especially important for our fast-growing Latino population.

You’re invited to a special policy discussion on Latinos and Social Security on Thursday, June 16 at 10:00 AM at Cashman Center. Experts from the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, the Heritage Foundation and AARP will discuss challenges facing Social Security and offer balanced information about the options on the table in Washington and on the campaign trail.

Space is limited, so please visit here to reserve your seat today. Light refreshments will be served, and parking is included.
