Did you know there were nearly 8,000 consumer complaints of ID theft and fraud from Nebraskans in 2013?

Whether it’s over the phone, through the mail, online or even at your door, scam artists are constantly scheming to get you and your loved ones to open your wallets. That’s why AARP launched the Fraud Watch Network to help people fight fraud through information and education.

We’re offering you an exciting opportunity to join our team of Fraud Watch Volunteer Educators to spread the word on how to avoid fraud. As a volunteer, you will make presentations about how con artists target their victims, warn of new scams that are appearing and explain how Nebraskans can protect themselves from being victimized.

Join us in Lincoln on August 12 for a Fraud Watch volunteer training at the AARP Nebraska state office from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This session will prepare you to make presentations on fraud in your community.

AARP will cover your travel and parking expenses associated with the training. Lunch and refreshments are included. Lodging will also be provided if travel to Lincoln is over 130 miles one way.

Space is limited, so register today! Register online or call 1-877-926-8300 toll free to reserve your spot by July 31!
