Family caregiving is an isolated and underappreciated endeavor, it is not well understood and so current systems intended to support them cannot scale. Atlas of Caregiving is uncovering the hidden world of caregiving utilizing a CareMap….

A CareMap is a hand-drawn representation of a family caregiver’s network. Your CareMap visualizes your caregiving daily activities and is the first step to seeing where you might need extra support. The impact on people drawing CareMaps during CareMap Workshops has been far more profound than expected.

The CareMap illustrates the caregiver’s own support system, highlights what is working well, and often reveals duplication or gaps in care and resources.

“I shared my map with my sister, and it was the first time we’ve agreed on the deficit in our family’s caregiving arrangement,” said CareMap Workshop participant."
