Home is where the heart is, and well-designed, livable communities promote health, sustain growth, and make for happier, healthier residents of every age, in all life stages. AARP Wisconsin is working to raise awareness in the greater Milwaukee area about the need for age-friendly, livable communities.
You can connect with AARP at one of our Free Coffee Fridays to share your thoughts on building a more livable greater Milwaukee. You’ll receive a free coffee, a re-usable coffee sleeve and learn about all that AARP is doing in your community. Show us your AARP membership card to receive an additional thank-you gift.
The next Free Coffee Friday will be held on Friday, October 27, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Blum Coffee Garden, 4930 West Loomis Rd., Greenfield. Stop in any time during these three hours and spend a few minutes with us. There is no need to register. Just show up and connect with AARP.
The same is true for the next Free Coffee Friday after that, which will be on Friday, November 17, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at The Dish Restaurant, 9540 South 27th St., Oak Creek.
We will be hosting Free Coffee Fridays once a month at different coffee shops in communities all across the Milwaukee area. Check back to this blog regularly to see where the next one will be. For more information, you can call Mariann Muzzi, the community outreach coordinator for AARP Wisconsin, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling her at 608-286-6303.
