The Natrona County Senior Fire and Fall Prevention event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in Casper, Wyo.

Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of both fatal and nonfatal injuries.

AARP Wyoming is working with Casper Fire-EMS, Casper College, Reveille Rotary Club, Natrona Senior Health Network, and the Casper/Natrona County Health Department to focus on preventing falls and fires in seniors’ homes.

Along with volunteers from the community, we will install safety devices such as smoke alarms, replace light bulbs, and place night lights in seniors’ homes. Educational materials are provided to seniors on ways to prevent fires and falls in their homes.

If you are interested in volunteering for this project, please call Renee Gamino at 307-432-5810
