If jazz lovers can’t get to New Orleans to hear their favorites, the Potomac River Jazz Club in Montgomery County is bringing New Orleans to them! Don’t miss this exciting event on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. The club is teaming with Montgomery College’s outstanding music department to present “Hot Jazz French Quarter Style,” featuring vocalist Banu Gibson and her musical director, David Boeddinghaus. They’ll be backed by a group of area all-star musicians led by David Sager.
AARP members will be offered a special discounted rate of $18/person (regularly priced tickets are $25). To receive the discount, AARP members can simply present their AARP card at the door when purchasing tickets, or print out a copy of this article to receive the discounted rate. The event will be held at the professionally equipped Theater Arts Building at Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus (ample parking, accessible and with Sunday bus service to the nearby Red Line Metro – Rockville station). Refreshments will be available during the event.
