AARP Nebraska is offering computer classes to help residents get comfortable using a computer or tablet. The classes are designed for people with little, if any, computer experience. Instructors explain how to browse the Internet and send email, and participants have a hands-on opportunity to do these things in class.

Sponsored by the AARP Information Center in Omaha, the beginner classes are free and open to the public, but enrollment is limited to eight people per session, and the classes are in high demand.

To register, or to inquire about dates, times and locations, call the AARP Information Center at 402-398-9568. Anyone interested in volunteering as an assistant instructor is also encouraged to call.
