Protect Yourself from Identity Theft

As part of its Fraud Watch Network efforts, AARP Nebraska has teamed up with the Better Business Bureau and other organizations to sponsor Secure Your ID Day in Lincoln on Saturday, June 24. The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon at West Gate Bank, located at Old Cheney Road and Highway 2.

Lincoln-area residents may drive through to drop off up to three bags or boxes of sensitive documents to be shredded on the spot at no cost. Volunteers will help with unloading. Participants also may bring nonperishable food items to donate to the Lincoln Food Bank.
