New Missouri Tax-Aide State Coordinator

St. Louisan Robert “Bob” Juergens has been selected as the new volunteer Missouri State Coordinator for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. Juergens replaces outgoing State Coordinator Lynn Boulware, from Lebanon, who completed seven years at the helm.

“This year, under Lynn’s able leadership, nearly 700 Tax-Aide volunteers in Missouri prepared about 30,000 tax returns for residents,” said Bob Hindman, Volunteer Central Region Coordinator for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program.

Prior to his new appointment, Juergens served as the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program district coordinator. In his new capacity, he will provide volunteer management and oversight to the cadre of volunteers in the program and work closely with Hindman and AARP national staff.

Juergens retired from the Boeing Company/McDonnell Douglas organization after 30 years in avionics engineering and supplier management. He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from St. Louis University and MBA from Fontbonne University.

“AARP Missouri extends sincere thanks to Lynn for her tenure and successes, and we look forward to working with Bob as he embarks upon his new role,” said Craig Eichelman, AARP Missouri state director. “The volunteers in this program are truly unsung heroes and deserve kudos for helping so many not only during tax season, but throughout the year.”

“We are always searching for additional volunteers who are willing to complete the training and join us in the program,” added Hindman. To get more information, visit www.aarp.org/taxaide.
