AARP Eye Center
Are you a caregiver who'd like to find out about local resources or learn how to build a support network? Do you have a smart phone but don't feel too smart using it? Are you looking for a job but don't know how to use all the online tools available to make the search easier? AARP has some workshops for you!
Coming up on Thursday, October 6, connect with other family caregivers around the table in an engaging, interactive CAREversation with the help of a facilitator who will guide the discussion. This is a great way to learn tips about how to care for yourself, find organizations with resources to help you (including respite care) and learn about creating networks with others in your area. A workshop this summer explored ways to ask family and friends to give one hour of help per week; a small amount of time that can translate to hours freed up for the family caregiver! There will be two 90 minute workshops offered on October 6 will be at Salt Lake City Community College--Miller Campus, 9750 South 300 West, Sandy, UT 84070 at 5:00pm and 7:30pm. The sessions are free and include complimentary food and drinks! To register, call 1-800-278-1045 or click here.
