AARP Eye Center
Learn to make money doing what you love by turning your hobby into a business. AARP New Hampshire, the Small Business Administration and the Center for Women’s Business Advancement will host three workshops for budding entrepreneurs this fall. Business owners who have parlayed their hobbies into financial success will discuss how to create an online presence and choose the best social medium for the target audience.
“Work is the new retirement,” said Todd Fahey, AARP state director. In a 2015 AARP survey of Granite Staters age 50-plus, only 10 percent of respondents said they will retire at traditional retirement age and never return to work.
The workshops will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Flag Hill Winery in Lee; Wednesday, Sept. 28, at LaBelle Winery in Amherst; and Thursday, Oct. 6, at Red River Theatres in Concord. Light snacks will be served, and a cash bar is available.
Registration is required. For details, go to aarp.org/nh.
