Open House and Fraud Prevention Demonstration in Keene

You’re invited to an open house and fraud prevention demonstration in Keene!  It’s all on Friday, March 17 at the People’s United Bank, 122 West Street, between the hours of 11:00 and 1:00.

AARP Fraud Watch Network  and People’s United Bank  have teamed up and will unveil a unique, interactive kiosk designed to educate people on staying safe from frauds and scams.  The kiosk features a tablet preloaded with a specially developed app that allows users to quickly and easily view AARP’s extensive digital library of fraud prevention content.

AARP Fraud Watch Network has helped thousands of consumers avoid identity theft and common fraud schemes such as the IRS imposter scam, tech support imposters and the grandparents scam.  This collaboration between People’s and AARP will extend this outreach effort to the grassroots level, reaching consumers where they conduct financial transactions, in person and online.

Identity theft, investment fraud and other scams rob Americans of their hard-earned money.  Last year alone, 13.1 million people were the victims of identity theft, losing over $15 billion dollars.  That’s one person victimized every two seconds!

Please join us for this open house and demonstration.  Oh, did we mention refreshments, snacks, and prizes?  Here are the details:
