AARP members in South Dakota will enjoy a special night of baseball June 27 in Sioux Falls. AARP Night at the Canaries will feature the minor league Sioux Falls Canaries playing the rival St. Paul (Minn.) Saints.
The game will be played at Sioux Falls Stadium, also known as the Birdcage. AARP has reserved two enclosed, 30-person suites with outdoor viewing porches. AARP also has reserved 100 seats in front of the suites. AARP members may buy a ticket for access to a suite for $15 or a ticket for a reserved, chair-back seat for $5.
The price for either ticket option includes food, beverages and a postgame fireworks show.
“This is just one of many events we’re having in Sioux Falls this year to help people connect with the community, AARP in Sioux Falls and with other people with similar interests,” said Cathy McLeer, associate state director of AARP South Dakota. Buy tickets by June 15 at aarp.org/sd or call 877-926-8300.
As the official sponsor of the game, AARP will be involved in a first-pitch ceremony, and beverage koozies with AARP and Canaries logos will be distributed to the first 1,000 fans, said Rico Velazquez, director of sales for Sioux Falls Sports.
