Nation's Largest Film Festival Returns

Print

If you like artistic films, culturally rich movies and cinematic masterpieces, you’ll love the Seattle International Film Festival, which returns for its 42nd year from May 19 through June 12.

AARP, in partnership with the festival, is offering discounts to its members and guests, who will receive $2 off any regular film screening.

The 25-day event is the largest film festival in the United States, drawing more than 150,000 people every year. This year’s festival will present more than 400 features, short films and documentaries from over 80 countries. Variety has called the Seattle event one of the world’s “unmissable” film festivals.

In addition to the many great films planned for this year’s event, AARP has selected movies that will have a special appeal to moviegoers 50 and older. Check out AARP’s Movies for Grownups selections at the festival at aarp.org/seattle.

To get more information about the event, including a complete listing of this year’s films, times and locations, go to SIFF.net.

You can purchase tickets online at SIFF.net, at the SIFF Film Center or any festival box office, or by phone at 206-324-9996. Be sure to use the discount code GROWNUPS16 to get $2 off any regular screening. —Dana E. Neuts
