It’s time to once again clean out your file cabinets! AARP North Dakota and Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Minnesota and North Dakota invite Fargo-Moorhead, Bismarck-Mandan and Jamestown area residents to shred unneeded documents for free on “Secure Your ID Day,” Saturday, April 25.
The Fargo event will be held at the Wells Fargo branch at 2501 13th Ave. S.
The Bismarck event will be held at the Wells Fargo Gateway Mall location at 1050 E. Interstate Ave.
The Jamestown event will be held at the First Community Credit Union at 111 9th St. SW.
The times for each of the events are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Documents to be shredded should be removed from binders, but staples, paper clips, CDs and floppy discs are okay to be shredded.
Cell phones no longer in use will also be collected.
Take a key step in identity protection by shredding and properly disposing of sensitive paper documents as well as CDs and floppy discs. We’ll also have pamphlets available on other steps you can take to prevent identity theft and protect yourself from scams.
