As Americans continue to exit the workforce in unprecedented numbers, decisions as to how and when to elect Social Security retirement benefits may be the determining factor in the success or failure of millions of retirement plans.

According to a recent AARP study, about half of consumers between ages 45 and 64 say that Social Security will be “...a major source of their household retirement income…”  Social Security provides an income stream that is guaranteed for life, guaranteed for the life of your surviving spouse, is inflation protected, is tax efficient with proper planning and is backed by a government promise. Yet most Americans do not fully understand their Social Security options.

Join us for our Smart Social Security Planning seminar on Tuesday,  April 19. Scott Rethi, strategist for Cascade Investment Group, will discuss the “when”, “how” and “why” particular benefits should or shouldn’t be elected. You’ll get the information you need to begin your Social Security planning.

*Important note: A few popular claiming strategies for married couples are being eliminated as a result of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015. If you were born on or before April 29th, 1950, your time is running out to take advantage of a strategy that could provide you with tens of thousands in Social Security retirement benefits. But you have to act fast. The deadline for filing with this claiming strategy is April 29th, 2016.

Scott Rethi is the only strategist in Colorado to hold the Certified in Social Security Claiming Strategies (CSSCS) designation.

The event is free but registration is required. Seating is limited. Register today!
