Many Boomers still are struggling to recover from the Great Recession, while others are slowly starting to rebuild their financial security. The rocky economy, continuing uncertainty in the job market, reduced savings, stock market losses and lower home values have combined to shake confidence in an ability to retire with adequate resources.

AARP sees that Americans are facing complex financial planning processes and an evolving set of investment and savings instruments that make financial decision-making increasingly difficult. And we hear Ohioans telling us they want accurate and unbiased information to help them navigate the path toward a comfortable retirement.

That’s where Ready for Retirement: Tools to Achieve Peace of Mind comes in. An interactive presentation delivered by a Certified Financial Planner, Ready for Retirement delivers sound knowledge of financial basics and existing investment choices with information designed to help you understand financial planning and cope with the ever-changing set of financial instruments.

“A happy and fulfilling retirement means different things to different people,” says Bill Schretter of Vandalia, the Certified Financial Planner who will conduct two Ready for Retirement presentations in the greater Cincinnati area in March. “Once you determine what you want to do during your retirement years, it's important to know how you can get there financially.”

There will be no sales, business solicitation or product pitches, just educational information to answer your questions, access to AARP resources and online tools helpful in your planning process.

Ready for Retirement presentations will take place from 6:30 pm to 8 pm on March 18 in Loveland and on March 26 in Sharonville. Both are open to the public at no charge, but space is limited and registration is required.

To register, call toll-free 1-877-926-8300 to reserve your seat at either presentation.

Or, register online at either event by clicking on the links below.
