DESCRIPTION: The AARP National Day of Service is an AARP initiative where staff and volunteers throughout the country commemorate those lost and the benevolence of those who helped on 9-11 by engaging in volunteer projects on September 11. The goal is to improve the lives of others within their communities. This year, it has been expanded to Monday, September 12th since the National Day of Service and Remembrance falls on a weekend.
