Use your power to make a difference for Nevada ratepayers! Join the Utility Watchdogs

fight against unfair utility rates!

Are you wondering what the purchase of NV Energy by Warren Buffet’s MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company will mean for Nevadans? Do you want to know what the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is doing that affects your monthly electric, gas and telephone bills?

Here in Nevada, AARP is fighting for consumers every day to challenge rate increase proposals and ensure utility companies receive only what is fair and reasonable – and not a dime more - so you can keep more of the money you’ve earned.  AARP also works to ensure reliable service you can count on, and timely repairs after major outages occur.

You can use your power and make your voice heard by joining AARP Nevada's Utility Watchdogs.

Members of the Utility Watchdogs receive timely information about utility issues and learn about ways to make a difference for ratepayers across the state.  For example, Watchdogs have sent hundreds of emails to the PUC to let them know how real people will be affected by their decisions.

AARP Nevada is fighting to save you money on your utility bills.  Your voice can make a difference in that fight.  Stay informed, and support the efforts to ensure reasonable rates for all Nevadans by joining the Utility Watchdogs today.
