Fifty-plus and looking for work? AARP West Virginia is hosting a series of seminars sponsored by the AARP Foundation Back to Work 50+ program.

West Virginia’s unemployment rate has dropped since reaching a high of 10 percent in February 2010. But a May 2012 report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office shows workers 55 and older are more likely than younger ones to experience extended unemployment—and took three times as long to find work during the Great Recession as before the downturn.
